Apartments Budzyn

We stayed in the smaller of this property's two apartments, and it turned out to be a former garage with no windows. The listing photos don't show this major issue. The so-called terrace is actually the driveway, under a plexiglass cover that turns it into a sauna in summer. It wasn't private: the owners and guests from the other apartment used it to come and go. We couldn't leave the garage door open without losing privacy, even though the only opening faces the driveway where passersby can see inside. The listing says there's a washing machine and coffee machine, but neither was there. It also mentions a barbecue, but the grill is on the owners' terrace by their front door, apparently off limits to guests, and has been used as a flower stand for years. The air conditioning blows straight at the bed, so we couldn't use it at night. There were no cleaning supplies in the garage, not even a broom or mop. The shower is tiny, around 45x45 cm, and its ill-fitting door feels like it could fall whenever it's closed. The towels were tiny too, 50x70 cm, and nobody offered a change during our week. There are plenty of plates and cups, but pots, pans, dishes, and cutlery are old, at least 20-30 years, and only the bare minimum. There were no large knives, just blunt table knives, and no grater or potato peeler. The kitchen was missing most things needed to make a proper dinner, so bring your own utensils if you plan to cook. There's a TV, but only Croatian and German channels, so it was unusable for us. Netflix or something similar might help. The internet was acceptable, though it dropped out temporarily several times. Look closely at the photos: there are two apartments here. The one above the owners' apartment should at least be passable. We stayed in the garage and recommend avoiding it at all costs.
