Hotel Emaus

If you’re more than two people, don’t bother, unless you like sleeping like a contortionist and arguing at the front desk. I booked a room for three adults through Vivamod/expedia, but we got one queen-size bed and a child-sized bed. When I raised the problem, the staff were unhelpful, uninterested and almost careless. For a hotel that says it accommodates adults, that’s ridiculous and unacceptable. The property itself isn’t terrible. It seemed quite clean, the breakfast was decent, and the outdoor space was wonderful. There’s parking, the pool is spacious, though a bit dirty with pines, and it’s a ten-minute walk to the center. Still, those things don’t make up for the awful service or the fact that they didn’t seem to care about our comfort or what we’d actually booked.

This place is overrated, and I wouldn’t recommend it for a stay with kids. There’s no way to change the AC airflow from blowing onto the bed, and my kid got a stomach flu from the breakfast. The owner doesn’t speak English, so the response was zero.

A quiet, pleasant pension, and the rooms were clean. We stayed two nights and had a nice breakfast buffet, plus a choice of three dinner menus. The beach is very close and there are lots of activities. There was just general soap and towels, no toiletries. The room had a TV and AC, and there was a shared area where we could hang wet clothes to dry.

We’ll definitely come back. It’s a lovely place for couples and kids, with a nice pool and playground area. Everyone was friendly, and both the rooms and the place itself were clean.
