Villa Noa is run by a kind, hospitable woman who offers what guests may need. She lost her husband five months ago and is managing the place alone, which is why she only offers rooms now. The basement spa is closed. If you take a minute to speak with her, even though her speech is hard to understand, you’ll get the situation. This is especially for the Albanian(?) Mr. Xhemajli. The room had an open bathtub, and the toilet had no window or ventilation, with a door that wouldn’t lock. The bread was cold and several days old, and cleanliness was inadequate. I’d strongly advise families against staying at this very bad hotel.

The hostess is incredibly lovely, and we managed to communicate despite her limited German. She speaks much better German than I do Croatian. The villa itself is beautiful, with plenty of charm and character.
