Apartment Camelia

We had a stunning view, but the rest of the apartment let us down. There were five of us, three of them children, and the kitchen was a real mess in terms of equipment. It lacked almost everything, including cooking spoons, knives, bowls, and baking trays. The oven looked as if it had never been cleaned; it was so black inside that the light couldn't be seen. For a family that can't eat out all the time, the kitchen just isn't equipped well enough. We also had trouble with bedbugs, and the supposedly hot shower water only lasted until the fourth person. This apartment may work for couples, but not for families with children.

We were made to feel welcome, and our big dog was comfortable too. The landlord was very friendly. From high above, the gorgeous view across the whole bay delighted us every day during our 12-day stay. The little steps up and down to town are charming, and the town is worth a look. The owner was friendly, and the apartment was tidy. What stood out most was how peaceful it felt. It's up in a hilly residential area with a lovely view, though shops are a long walk away, so I'd pick up groceries before arriving if you don't want to go far.

We had plenty of room for all five of us, and the rooms stayed cool. Parking is handy, just 10-15 meters from the rooms, and the terrace has an uninterrupted view. The host was kind and helpful, and the surroundings were quiet. Getting to the center and beach means a 30-40 minute downhill walk, with a tougher uphill climb on the way back. Lidl and Spar are about 15 minutes away by car.
