We came to Opatija for a Healthy food fair at Gorovo Hall, so being just three minutes from the hall was a lovely surprise. Korny and Villa Ilirija were both that close. The apartment was clean and nicely furnished, though we wish we’d had more time to relax on the shady terrace out front. The housekeeper really went out of her way to handle all our requests. We’ll come back for a holiday next time!

The location is close to both the centre and the sea, and parking is available, though the space is awkward to use. The apartment is in an old villa building, with comfortable rooms and a modern, nicely renovated bathroom. Opatija and the Istrian Peninsula are beautiful, and the beaches were clean with gorgeous sea. We enjoyed our stay, but the apartment is beside the main road, so there was a lot of noise late at night and early in the morning.
