The people were really nice.

The only things in its favor were the location and the view. The photos were nothing like the actual condition, and the yard was covered in leaves, clearly not looked after for a long time. We got directions from the parking lot to the apartment on our phones, which I now understand. Apartment No. 4 was dirty and dusty, with unclean bedding, no toilet paper, and rubbish in the bin that already smelled bad.

We were in Apartment 6 with four people, and spent the first day of our holiday cleaning because the hosts apparently hadn’t done it. The microwave was dirty, there was hair from people and pets everywhere, the floor was broken and had ants, and one room seemed to have mold. The kettle was so off-putting we didn’t even want to check it. Furniture and flooring looked like junkyard finds, nothing matched, some lights didn’t work, and parts of the bathroom mosaic were missing. The walls were thin enough that we heard children banging on a piano at 8 a.m. and even the neighbors’ phones ringing. A washing machine sat outside the front door for Apartment 6, costing 5 euros per load, alongside all the owner’s trash. There was a 5 euro daily fee for our dog, though dogs weren’t allowed on any beach in or around Icici apart from tiny dog beaches. The view was quite nice for now, but the walk involved climbing a hill in 30-degree heat, and a hotel under construction would block the view in future. For €880, the cleanliness wasn’t what I’d expect. I wouldn’t recommend it if you plan to spend more than 8-10 hours sleeping in the room, especially since there isn’t much to do nearby.

The sea view is the one nice thing about Apartment No. 5. The place was extremely dirty, with mold inside the bathroom shower and downstairs in the living room, plus cobwebs and spiders everywhere. It was very dusty, the walls had lots of stains, door frames were broken, ceilings damaged, and the floor was filthy. The kitchen, drawers, and cutlery were just as dirty. I wouldn’t recommend it.
