That sunset was lovely, even though the sea view was partly blocked by some roofs. The room was huge, and I loved the swimming pool with its breathtaking 270-degree view. The café bar was closed, maybe because I was there in September. Breakfast was so-so, but the staff were friendly. Getting to the hotel from the street was a bit of a challenge.

The reception team were pleasant and very helpful, especially Elina, who was always there when we needed her. We stayed six days as a family to enjoy Dubrovnik. The Adriatic view was lovely, and our room was reasonably priced, spacious and clean. The TV didn’t work, though, and there was no fridge, so in the heat we couldn’t keep water cold or food fresh. Breakfast was reasonable for a three-star hotel, but dinner had limited options and the vegetables weren’t fresh. The breakfast staff weren’t very welcoming and didn’t seem to know much about food ingredients.

The view was good, and we liked the pool, though its windows needed cleaning. But during our three nights, the cleanliness really disappointed us: the floors and balcony were dirty, the rooms felt dated, and the hallway lights barely came on. For the price, this felt like a three-star hotel, not a four-star one. If you’re not too particular about cleanliness, it may be fine, but for us it wasn’t good enough for the rate.

There was black mold in the bathroom, and the smell reached throughout the room. Please don’t put anyone in that room. It’s unbearable and a health hazard. I really wanted to give this place five stars because there’s plenty to like: the location, pool, breakfast, friendly staff, parking and cleanliness. But several things spoiled the experience. The hallway had no lights, which seems like an easy fix. We had to put the blanket into its cover ourselves, there were no extra sheets for the sofa bed, and there wasn’t enough shampoo. These all seem easy to sort out, too.

The historic downtown is less than 15 minutes away, and there are good, affordable restaurants nearby. The only grocery store in the area is also just a few minutes away. For Dubrovnik, where parking is scarce and pricey, having parking here is a real plus. The stay is affordable, breakfast is included, service is excellent, and the rooftop infinity pool comes with amazing Adriatic views. Why pay a crazy price for lodging? Good luck finding something better. Like the Terminator, I’ll be back.
