The host was very polite, and it’s close to Plitvička Lakes as shown in the pictures. The location is really remote, though. It has what you need for an overnight stay, but the place feels a bit old-fashioned.

We stayed here for a visit to the national park, and the price was very reasonable. The house is up a hill in a somewhat out-of-the-way village, so you’ll need a car to go shopping, though there’s an inn within walking distance. The furnishings are dated, but perfectly adequate, and the host family made us feel very welcome. The view is wonderful. Our children especially enjoyed the animals: two little kittens, two adult dogs, two puppies, a flock of sheep, and a donkey. You should be comfortable around animals.

We found the apartment clean and tidy, and the hosts were very friendly. It’s in a quiet spot and worked ideally for us, with Plitvice, Željava, Villa Izvor, Jelena Valley, and everything else we wanted to see about a 30-minute drive away.
