Guest House Aurora

I really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful stay and would love to come back. It's a lovely place with a warm, family feel, away from the noise.

Traveling alone in Croatia, I often felt stressed and anxious about the language barrier and being somewhere new. As soon as I arrived at this guest house, though, the whole family made me feel like I belonged. They shared travel guides, tips for getting into the national park, and all the information I needed. They genuinely wanted me to have a great stay, and I did. I'd definitely return and recommend this guest house to anyone traveling to Plitvice lake :)

The room was a little small, with basically just a bed and desk, and the bathroom was across the hall, but it was okay. The host was sweet, and the location was nice, with a good restaurant next door. You can walk from the guest house to a fantastic viewpoint overlooking Plitvice, from the top of Veliski Slap.

I had an unhappy experience at this guest house. Communication was difficult, and we ended up waiting an hour at night for their pickup in a place we'd never been before. The cleanliness was very poor. I found dried pasta stuck between forks in the kitchenette drawer, which was disgusting, and picked up strangers' hair in our room. The room we were assigned felt uncomfortable, and the restroom was tiny with outdated facilities. We misunderstood and thought the room had its own kitchen, but it didn't. There was a lot to be disappointed about. I don't understand how this can be called an excellent location, as it takes 90 minutes to walk from the guest house to the nearest entrance. I hope people know these things before booking.
