The setting is amazing, with handy parking and lovely outdoor areas. We were on the second floor with a sea view, but the room stayed at 23°C even with the AC turned all the way up. Closing the blinds and curtains didn't help. The shower drain was so blocked that the water nearly overflowed while I washed my short hair. There were no towel hangers, and anyone with asthma like me should know the floors are carpeted. I also had to put away the dusty decorative pillows. For one night, it might be manageable, but I'd think twice about a longer stay. The hotel is very old and clearly hasn't been renovated, so it doesn't feel like good value for the price.

The hotel is right on the beach, and the pools were great for the kids. The food was very good, too. Our receptionist was welcoming, helpful, and patient, which made the stay extra comfortable. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was good. A perfect hotel for families with children.

Being just one step from the sea was lovely, and the main road nearby brought some noise, but we could live with it. The rooms were okay, though some things didn't work and there were no TV channels as promised. Cleaning was awful: during our 10 days, the sheets were never changed and the room was never vacuumed. Someone came in daily only to make the bed. Breakfast was okay, with bread, ham, cheese, pâté, chocolate, and some cooked and scrambled eggs. It looked like the buffet food stayed out from opening until closing, leaving the juice and yogurts warm. The pool area didn't feel clean either. There was a lot of sand on the bottom and stairs, plus leaves and dead flies in the water. I don't know how often the pool, loungers, and surrounding area were cleaned, but it didn't feel clean.

The hotel is outside Split, with a bus running about every fifteen minutes. Our room and bathroom were a good size and very clean. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the couple of dinners we had there were good. For a three-star hotel, it's good, even very good.
