The view is what makes you forget a lot of the hotel’s problems. It’s absolutely incredible, and the hotel is right on a beautiful beach. Despite the downsides, I’d stay again. It’s quirky, and I liked it. Our family room had two single beds and a sofa bed, but the sofa bed was broken and placed in front of the balcony window, so we had to climb over it to get outside. The place is quite shabby and dated, and needs work. It’s also not very disability friendly, with lots of steps in public areas and between some buildings. The hotel has three sections and there’s a lift, but we had to go downstairs to reach it. Breakfast was included, basic but very nice. The staff seemed a bit brusque at first, then warmed up and ended up being really lovely.

We spent two nights at Hotel San Antonio in Split, and it was frustrating from the start. When we arrived, the room key cards didn’t work, and after the trip we were left waiting far too long for help. Staff seemed inattentive and unresponsive while we stood there tired and unable to get into our rooms. Inside, one room had a noticeable leak, and another smelled strongly of cat urine, making it unpleasant and unsanitary. Most rooms don’t have a sea view, which felt misleading given the hotel’s location. When we raised these problems, the management staff were uncooperative and unresponsive, with no apparent interest in compensating us. Their manner felt unprofessional and unwelcoming. With the problems in service, room quality and staff attitude, I can’t recommend Hotel San Antonio. It was far from the relaxing stay we’d hoped for.

We spent a week at San Antonio in August, close to the beach and a promenade lined with bars and other places. The hotel restaurant is well worth trying for dinner, it was so good. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Lea. Thanks to her kindness and professionalism, she helped us a lot and made our stay a good experience.

The woman at the desk when we arrived on 07 09 2025 was especially welcoming and helpful. Our flight was delayed, so we got in late, and she went out of her way to sort out what we needed. The staff were always pleasant, helpful and welcoming. We had a lovely holiday, with very good room and food.
