Villa Principessa Podstrana

The owners were kind and helpful, and the kids had a great time in the pool. We went at the end of August, when the area was quiet and not too crowded. The rooms were exceptionally clean, and the sea is just two steps away. You don’t have to cross the road, since there’s an underground passage. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at studios Principessa for seven nights in July 2021, my wife, our two kids, and me. The owners were lovely and looked after the apartments well. They were always ready to help or answer questions. The studios were clean, spacious, and well equipped, and the pool was kept clean too. It isn’t large, but it’s enough for a refreshing dip if you don’t feel like going to the beach. The beach is a 5-7 minute walk away, which felt ideal to us. The studios aren’t right on the beach or the main road, though you can still see the sea. The waterfront has good access to the water and two or three restaurants right on the beach. The water was clean. Bakeries and grocery stores are close by, and I think the stay at Principessa was worth the price.

Sanja, the owner, was great about answering our questions and made the service feel excellent. We loved our stay at Villa Principessa and would like to come back. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the pool area had sunbeds and free coffee. It’s about 100 metres from the beach, with a few restaurants nearby. Split is roughly 20 minutes away by bus.

We chose this apartment for a holiday in Split after looking for a long time. Our main things were the beach distance, private parking, a 24-hour front desk, and the price, and it suited all of them. The car was parked right on the property. This is a private villa where the owners live on the third floor, so they’re available at any time if you need something. The courtyard is green, pretty, and well kept. The villa isn’t on the seafront, but the beach is about 50 metres away via a very beautiful underground passage. It’s a quiet, uncrowded beach with small pebbles. Lying there without a sunbed is fine, though the hostess also provides sunbeds to take down. From our terrace there was a lovely sea view, and it was nice to sit there for dinner, have wine, and enjoy it. The apartments are modern and furnished with dishes. There’s a laundry in the basement, plus fresh towels and linen you can change when needed. There’s also a great barbecue area for cooking fresh seafood. Hostess Sanja is wonderful, hospitable, and friendly. I recommend Podstrana if you want a peaceful beach. Bus number 60 goes to Split; it’s 8 km and takes about 25 minutes.
