Room Ana - 5 m from beach: R11-24 Cove Pokrivenik, Island Hvar

The food was incredible, and the service was the best we've ever had. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and the rooms were clean with an amazing sea view and thoughtful attention to detail. It's a heavenly place for tourists, and I'd recommend it and happily come back.

I especially loved the spaghetti with mussels, one of the best seafood dishes I've ever tried. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. The waiters also seemed to be the only ones we saw in Croatia who remembered to put their masks on when coming to the table.

We planned a week here in September 2021, but left after one night. The whole experience was awful. Our rooms smelled bad, with fungus in the bathroom and AC, even after the hotel moved us three times. The beds were old and uncomfortable, the equipment was dated, and there were ants everywhere. The balcony door lock was broken, so we couldn't secure it, which mattered because the balcony was shared with other rooms. The food was terrible. The fish stew was mediocre, and halfway through the meal I found a huge cooked fly in the sauce. The waiter just shrugged and said "sorry." Nearby locals sang loudly from 4 PM until midnight. We couldn't enjoy dinner or sleep, even with the windows shut. We politely asked the waiter to do something about the noise, but he didn't try. All Inclusive meals were clearly different from the a la carte food. We weren't allowed to sit outside by the sea for those meals and were directed to tables beside the hotel, while the seaside tables were for "paying customers." Wasps kept attacking us at breakfast, likely because there's a nest nearby. There was very little to do around there. The beaches were basically nonexistent, just a steep rocky shore with a ladder, and there was nowhere for a proper walk. Bring a book or you'll get bored fast. We were charged 84 Euros for local tax and the dog fee for 6 days, which felt quite steep.

The view by the seaside is lovely, especially at sunset, and both cash and card are accepted. The portions are generous, with vegetarian choices like pasta and pizza. We had great food and service.
