Apartments Park Plava Laguna

We lost valuable time, the thief got to check out, and we only learned the truth on our last day. My friend left his phone in the lobby for just a few minutes, and when we returned, another guest had stolen it. Reception wouldn’t cooperate or let us see the security footage. First they said only the police could view it. Once police arrived, they suddenly claimed the indoor cameras weren’t working. After several trips to the police station, the hotel falsely said they had sent the footage to police. The police also gave little support. It was a very bad experience.

We’d never been to Croatia before and fell in love with it. This hotel was a big part of that, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to families. The location was excellent, near a family sandy beach and about a 30 minute walk from beautiful Porec. The room was clean and spacious, the staff were so friendly, and breakfast and dinner seemed really fresh with lots of options, perfect with young children. The pool areas were amazing and the kids’ splash pool was loads of fun. Almost everyone there was a family or group with children, so I probably wouldn’t recommend it to an adults-only group looking for relaxation.

We booked a Superior Room with a balcony and sea view through the hotel website, but got a ground-floor disabled-access room looking at the tennis courts. You could barely see the sea from the far corner of the terrace, even though the hotel clearly wasn’t full. The room was completely unsuitable for us: the sink was far too low and the toilet far too high, clearly designed for disabled guests. We felt uncomfortable and out of place. At least the room was clean and tidy, and the outdoor pool was heated. The hotel was mostly occupied by groups and families with children. Buffet food was average. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t return.

We feel so lucky to have found this place. It was the best of the 8 hotels on our tour. The contemporary rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the Nordic spa was included, with a steam room, finish sauna, infra sauna, jacuzzi and ice. The outdoor pool was super warm, and breakfast and dinner were included, all you can eat, with a huge variety of food.
