The place didn't match the description. The apartment hadn't been cleaned properly, the staff seemed unprofessional, and the pool was dirty. WiFi was weak throughout the apartment.

The owners were kind and shared a lot of useful tips that made our holiday better. We also really liked having a pool tucked into a nicely kept, partly shaded corner. The apartment was clean, with a lovely view from the balcony, and the area itself was quiet and pleasant. Vila Marinela worked very well for a relaxed, uncomplicated break.

At 37 degrees Celsius, our top-floor apartment was unbearably hot, and the air conditioning wouldn't work. We told the woman looking after us straight away, but her advice was to open the windows and wait for sunset. The small fan she gave us didn't help either, so we left unhappy. The apartment itself was run-down, smelly, and very dirty. Even the glasses and cutlery were greasy. We spotted a cockroach at night, and the pool water was filthy too. That brought our stay at Apartments Vila Marinela to an unsatisfactory end.

It was peaceful and set well away from the main roads. The pool and the price were definite pluses, and it was easy to speak English with the owners' daughter. The beach is around 900 metres away and walkable; for shops, the city centre is a better bet, about five minutes by car. A few small things were irritating: there were no drying trays for dishes, a sign asking guests to save hot water, and just one roll of toilet paper, so you need to buy more. The WiFi had three networks, but the signal was weak. We went in August 2022.

I wouldn't recommend this place. The owners were very unfriendly, and hygiene was at zero. The apartments are cramped and the furniture is old. You can hear absolutely everything, even the upstairs neighbor going to pee. I was really disappointed.
