For €55 a night, this felt like a low, cramped closet. There’s barely a tiny window, and making the bed usable means folding the table away. No dish soap or sponge, no shower curtain or place to hang towels, no TV or air conditioning, and the bed has hard slats. We also had no hot water. Cleaning was poor, and the towels and sheets looked ancient. In Italy, I don’t think anyone would consider this habitable.

I gave it one star only because there’s no option for zero. The room is in what feels like a garage or woodshed, and the whole building is run down. There’s no parking, and most of the furniture looks picked up from a junk shop, apart from the single bed that can be split. The bathroom has exposed, rusty boiler pipes, and the curtain has fallen off the window. The bedroom closet is fitted into a doorway, but the measurements are off, so you can see into the other room. It wasn’t clean either. This place needs to be closed, not rented out.
