There's a small shop and restaurant just around the corner, and Lake Pritvicker is only a few kilometers away, so the location is great for a visit. The room was nice, with a clean bathroom, hot water, and a freshly made bed. It was really good value. The owner only speaks Croatian, though, so Google Translate may help if you don't know the language ; )

The guesthouse is in a quiet area with other apartments, and has a lovely terrace beneath the grapevines and roses. It's a good base for Plitvice Lakes, about a 10-minute drive from the park. The friendly owner gave us tickets for a free dessert at her son's restaurant, where we also had a delicious meal.

We left disappointed. There was nothing provided for breakfast, or even for heating water, just a fridge shared with the owner. The website mentions a barbecue, but without cutlery or glasses, how were we supposed to eat or drink? And bring euros, because the room costs more if you pay in Kuna.

The host lady was sweet, but we couldn't communicate because she only speaks Croatian. The apartment was spacious, with a living room, two bedrooms, a dining room and a kitchenette, but cleanliness was a real problem: there were lots of cobwebs and spiders, and the entrance carpet and one living room armchair smelled of cat urine. My 17-month-old daughter was bitten by bedbugs. The Wi-Fi was poor or didn't work at all for us.
