Kamp Korana

The area around the campsite is lovely for walks and bike rides, and there's a pool in the river below, about 300m long, with a bridge you can jump from. The setting is wonderful in its own right. Buses to the Plitvice Lakes are infrequent, one going there at 9am and returns at 2pm and 5pm, and they're not included. With your own transport it'd be perfect, though taxis are usually around. The toilets and showers were clean and well kept, although a long walk from where we ended up. We arrived by motorhome at 8.45pm, and by the time we checked in it was getting dark, with a sudden downpour. They gave us a map and said to drive around and take any free spot. In the dark, with little lighting, uneven ground, lots of trees, and no numbers to show which pitches had EHU, it was difficult to find somewhere. After about half an hour of trying, we were fed up and parked in the car park.

A fantastic campsite in the middle of the woods, with plenty of room and the freedom to choose where to park. The ground isn't level, so bear that in mind. There's also a shuttle to Plitvice NP: it leaves for the entrance at 9 a.m., with return rides at 2 p.m. or 5 p.m. You pay on the bus.

There's loads of room for tents among the trees, and the campsite is huge and very clean. The toilets and showers were cleaned throughout the day and stayed really clean. The restaurant served good food at reasonable prices. The campsite itself was expensive, though: 31.6 euros for one night for one person, one tent, and one motorcycle.
