Villa Rubcic

The bed was painfully hard, and I ended up on the sofa. We folded up the mattress so my partner could sleep somewhere else, but neither of us got much rest. We cut the trip short and moved to another hotel. It’s a shame, because the owners were lovely and the pool and gardens were very nice. I wish I could rate the place higher. Based on other reviews, I’d expected a family-run place that might be a little dated but would make up for it with charm. Unfortunately, it missed the most basic thing I needed, a good night’s sleep.

We hadn’t arranged a place for the night while visiting Plitvice National Park, then spotted Villa Rubcic Apartments on Booking and fell in love with it. Rudolf and his wife were so kind, and gave us the apartment keys straight away. We had a lovely stay and such a good time, and we’re very grateful to the owners. The pool was great after visiting Plitvice, and Rudolf made us amazing omelettes in the morning. Thanks again for everything! We really recommend Villa Rubcic! 🥰

A quiet place with a very kind host. One thing to keep in mind if you like to sleep in, breakfast is served until 9 am.

We would have stayed longer if our schedule hadn’t been so tight. The American-style motel rooms have parking right outside, and there’s a pool and freshly made breakfast in the morning. If you’re visiting the plitvice lakes, this is a good place to stay.
