There are plenty of bars and restaurants, the campsite is dog friendly, and you can reach the beach easily from every pitch. The sanitary facilities are superb. Although it looks huge on Google maps, it’s divided into lovely areas and never feels overwhelming. I’d go back.

It’s a great place to try a mobile home in a campsite for the first time. They feel more like apartments, and the site has all the essentials, including restaurants, bars and supermarkets. Rovinj is close by, and biking there with our dog was lovely, especially along the nature trails. The one bad experience was with the receptionist, who wouldn’t try to reserve a mobile home for us and said the site was full the following weekend. We booked online without trouble and found many homes still available. This was in September.

The restaurants, bars and shops look modern, clean and well presented, and the supermarket was very well stocked at fair prices. Dining was a different story for us. There were plenty of options in pleasant settings, but the food quality didn’t match the prices. Meals often felt a bit like canteen food, with lots of convenience products, perhaps because of the volume of guests. A usual dinner for two, with two drinks each, a main course and dessert, easily came to €90. We’d have been fine paying that if the quality had matched, but it fell short. We spent 14 days here during the Bavarian and Baden-Württemberg school holidays. It’s a huge, well-kept resort with excellent facilities, especially for families with young children. There’s so much on site you could stay there the whole time, though Rovinj is beautiful and well worth exploring. As a couple without children, we found the experience quite different from our earlier Croatia holidays. With so many guests and families, the campsite and beaches were always lively. That will suit many people, but we missed having some peace and quiet to rest. The campsite can’t really be blamed for the busy atmosphere, but couples or other travelers looking for tranquility should know what to expect. Our pitch was beside one of the main routes, so there was a lot of foot traffic and noise. Every morning at exactly 5:30 a.m., the trash bins were emptied very loudly, and staff often passed through early too. The site generally runs smoothly, but these activities could be scheduled better to disturb guests less. It’s a very good campsite, particularly for families with children, who have so much to do. The atmosphere stays lively, so it may not suit travelers seeking quiet. We might return someday, but next year we’ll probably try somewhere else.

We had a fantastic stay in two roomy, modern mobile homes right next to each other in a prime spot. With four teenagers between our two families, there was no shortage of things to do, from the pools and beach to boat rentals, outdoor space, restaurants, live music every night and fruit stands. The sunsets from the beach were amazing, too. The closest grocery store was 10 minutes away, so I would have liked a better one on site. A spatula in the kitchen would have been handy as well. It was high season, and the price reflected that, but we weren’t disappointed. An unforgettable stay.
