Villa Casa Kalandra Zadarvillas

We’d love to stay here again after our 10 wonderful days at Casa Kalandra in June 2023. The house is lovely and well furnished, with a great pool and a large fenced yard that’s ideal for dogs. The owners were very friendly and happy to help with any questions.

We loved the peace and quiet during our ten days at Casa Calandra in June, and would be glad to come back. The house is great for four adults, with two bedrooms and a living/dining area, all air-conditioned. The beds are 1.60 meters wide, and the bathrooms look practically brand new. Two small children could also stay in a third room with bunk beds. The large property is ideal for dogs, and the pool is cleaned every other day. For exploring the area on a bike, I recommend a mountain bike with wider tires, since almost all the cycling roads are gravel.

The location among olive groves and vineyards is lovely, and the outdoor kitchen is a nice addition to this well-kept holiday home. The hosts were friendly, and the pool was cleaned regularly. Getting there without a car is difficult: a long gravel road leads to the house. It’s a 15-20 minute walk to the sea, 15 minutes by car to Rovinj, and 12 minutes by car to the nearest shops.

The owners were very friendly, and treated us to fresh figs, eggs, and goat’s milk. The pool was cleaned every two days, and anyone wanting a horseback ride can ask the owner. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday at Casa Kalandra, which is practically equipped and picturesquely set among olive groves. It’s wonderfully quiet but still central. The beach is an easy walk away, or you can use the provided bicycles, and Rovinj is easy to reach by bike or car. Fresh rolls are available each morning from the bakery in front of the Vestar campsite, which is also easy to reach by bike. The fully fenced grounds have plenty of room for a dog to run around. Inside, there are three separate air conditioning units, one in the living/dining/kitchen area and one in each large bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped, though an oven would have been a nice extra. Outside, there’s a spacious pool with internal steps and a covered veranda with a small kitchenette, including a sink and two-burner cooktop. There’s also a charcoal grill and a large gas grill. A small bathroom with a toilet, sink, and washing machine is attached to the veranda. Everything worked out perfectly, and I highly recommend it.
