Villa Kimberly

The apartments are the best.

We were four and had booked a week, but the apartment they gave us had just one bedroom, a living room, and a bathroom so tiny it seemed suited to one person. We turned it down because the space was so limited and the place felt very neglected. The garden was fine, though, and the pool was nice, with a barbecue area too.

The owner was kind and helpful, and the double bed was comfortable. The sofa bed was fine too. The garden, pool, and kids' play area really do look as lovely as the photos, and the setting is quiet and pleasant. Our apartment was dated and needed routine upkeep. The windows and doors wouldn't shut properly, and some outlets weren't firmly fixed. The kitchen had enough equipment, but some of the dishes didn't match, one plate was broken, and a cup was missing. Cleaning could have been more thorough, perhaps because we booked at short notice. I'd maybe recommend it, but with reservations.

We'd happily return to this family-run guesthouse. The pool was a real highlight, and the leafy garden with its playground was lovely for relaxing. Inside, the house is beautifully furnished.
