Petram Resort Residences

We were at Petram Resort from 4-6 November, and the hotel itself is beautiful. But the restaurant fell far short of what I'd expect from a 4-5 star resort. My friend developed gastrointestinal symptoms during dinner on 5 November, and I had the same symptoms shortly after getting home. We ate only at the hotel restaurant during our stay, though I can't say for certain what caused us to feel ill. I told reception the restaurant didn't meet its promised 4/5-star standard. There was no soup, no salad with dinner, only white bread at breakfast, and no vegetarian options. They said other guests had complained too, and that they hoped things would be better next year. More concerning were signs of cross-contamination, such as grapes in the oatmeal that tasted of onion. I emailed about my concerns, but it took eight days and two emails to get a reply. It felt dismissive and didn't focus on guests' wellbeing. I normally never write reviews, but this left me disappointed and concerned. The resort is beautiful, but based on my experience with the restaurant hygiene and the hotel's response, I wouldn't return. It felt like guest wellbeing wasn't a priority. There are far better hotels with better service and fewer stars.

The room was spacious, comfortable, very clean, and excellent. The peaceful, beautiful surroundings were perfect for relaxing, and the wellness facilities themselves are great. Most of the wellness staff were friendly and helpful, but the experience was seriously spoiled by one black-haired female staff member who was extremely unpleasant and unprofessional. The lounger reservation system was confusing and poorly managed. Even though we'd booked ahead, we weren't given loungers together. She made no effort to help us find places together, and at one point personally removed us from our loungers to make room for other guests. It felt unfair and inconsistent, as if how she treated people depended on whether she liked them. The nicer we tried to be, the worse her attitude got.

We felt at home at Petram Resort, thanks to the staff, who were friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The place was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. We had such a wonderful stay and didn't want to leave. Can't wait to come back soon.

We've visited Petram Resort around seven times as a family, and we always come back with pleasure. The whole complex is beautiful, exceptionally clean, and well maintained. It's peaceful and elegant, and works so well for both relaxing and family time. The staff are kind, professional, and always ready to help with a smile. Our rooms have been spacious, modern, spotless, and comfortable, with everything needed for a pleasant, luxurious stay. We travel with our dogs, so we especially appreciate that it's pet-friendly and that pets are welcomed and cared for. The grounds are thoughtfully arranged, with plenty of waste bins and even dog waste bags. The restaurant has a very good range for its capacity. The food is always fresh and delicious, and if something isn't available right away, staff are happy to bring it or prepare it on request. The wellness area is beautiful and a lovely place to unwind. My husband and I had a couples massage and really enjoyed it. Dragana at the wellness reception was especially friendly, warm, and welcoming. For my family and me, Petram Resort is a 10/10. We feel comfortable, relaxed, and valued as guests, and highly recommend it for a luxurious holiday that's family and pet friendly. We're already looking forward to returning.
