Mobile Homes Krk Silo

The campsite is good, but the seaside pitches aren't all alike. Some look over quiet coves with a beautiful view. Pitches 34 to 36 are right on the beach, where people walk past, there's noise, and the view doesn't match the photo on the site at all. The experience didn't live up to the promises. The receptionist was kind, but didn't see a problem. These pitches shouldn't cost the same, and the site should clearly identify each location. A big disappointment.

They kept my ID until I paid the full amount, like a hostage. We had already paid a third at the time of booking, but as soon as we stepped into reception, they asked for the rest. Given the very high price, I think guests should be allowed to enter and see the property they're paying for before being asked to pay in full. We raised it at reception and again when we left, but got no sympathy or even a discount offer. The mobile home chairs were quite old, and some were damaged. The bathroom shower leaked. We told the property, but nothing was done. With prices like this for a week and what you get, I definitely won't go back. I personally think Croatia is digging its own tomb with tourist services and prices. The price to quality ratio is getting too high. As for the surroundings in Krk, they were average. There seems to be a strong local belief that a few ancient rocks and a 150 m cave are enough to count as a tourist attraction and charge money for it. To me, that's a poor man's way of attracting tourists, offering no content while still demanding payment.

We came before the busy season, so the beach bar wasn’t open, but that didn’t bother us. Shilo and the campsite are lovely for slowing down, enjoying the sea and relaxing. There’s a tennis court, places to run, boat rentals, restaurants and a diving club nearby, plus other activities if you’re looking for them. Our MH 4+1 - Luxury sea view was a beautiful mobile home right in the first row, with a sea view and a huge terrace furnished with a table and chairs. Inside, there’s a living room with a sofa, table and satellite TV, plus a kitchen with a fridge, kettle, coffee maker, electric hot plate, dishwasher, microwave, cutlery and more. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and the beds and pillows were comfortable. There weren’t mosquito nets on the windows, but we didn’t see any mosquitoes at all. The beach is a two-minute walk, and we could park beside the house, though there are plenty of other parking spaces too. Everything was clean, quiet and peaceful. Check-in and check-out were quick, and everyone was kind. It’s expensive in high season, so if, like us, you can’t afford that, you can visit before or after. You might not be able to swim, but you can still enjoy the sun and unwind. You should visit this place. It feels like a little slice of heaven!

The area’s beautiful and easy to get around, and the accommodation was really nice and very clean. The kids’ favorite was, of course, the cats. We’d happily come back and highly recommend it!
