We had a lovely time here. The parking spot made it easy to get around and see more of the falls or explore farther afield. Skradin’s main street is only a two-minute walk, and you can catch the boat there to the main Krka waterfalls. Our host was lovely and greeted us with fresh fruit, wine, and honest tips about the area.

Utvrda Turina is where the photo was taken from, looking toward the apartment in the center. The place itself is fairly new and has what you need for a short self-catered stay: a good-sized apartment for two, with a bedroom, shower room, and kitchen and living area. There’s digital TV and Netflix, though you’ll probably be out exploring the parks. Svetlana was an excellent host, and we were welcomed with fresh fruit and fruit brandy. They also offered free laundry service. It’s a great spot for Krka National Park and the bike trails, with restaurants less than two minutes away and the marina about three or four minutes on foot. The main road is fairly quiet, with almost no traffic after 8 pm, and it’s silent at night.

The host gave us a warm welcome, and people in town were very friendly when we took the time to talk with them. A particularly sweet extra was Ozzy, the 'guard' dog in the central square, wagging his tail as soon as you arrive. The apartment is a bit basic, but it has everything you need and is close to Krka National Park, the supermarket, bakery, and restaurants. A lovely place to stay in Skradin.
