Hotel Osmine

The staff were great and the hotel itself was excellent. Still, people smoked in the shared areas despite the no-smoking signs, and that spoiled the experience for me. I think management could do more about it. Apart from that, it was a great stay 👌🏽

The free pedal boats and similar activities were a real highlight, and we enjoyed them a lot. The rooms are very nice, but the building could use some care. During heavy rain, water even came inside. Food was okay, neither great nor terrible, and the restaurant staff were very friendly. The wine and beer tasted really bad. Cocktails made with branded spirits cost extra, which was a shame. The gym was badly equipped, and charging €5 per person per hour for it felt outrageous. We arrived at 8 in the morning after travelling all night, but had to wait another five hours for the room. We’d booked all-inclusive and were exhausted and hungry, so it was disappointing that nobody offered us breakfast. The reception staff seemed shy and unsure when we asked questions. Often it felt like they didn’t want to help and would rather be left alone, though reception is the heart of a hotel. We visited at the end of September or beginning of October. I’m not sure this place really deserves its four stars.

There was loads of space and it never felt too busy, with attentive staff around. The restaurant was excellent, serving plenty of local dishes along with fresh fruit and veg. The kids loved it and want to return next year. Canoes, bikes, paddle boards, and pedal boats were all free to use, and the hotel is in a beautiful spot, nicely out of the way.

A peaceful, relaxing escape with a friendly atmosphere and staff. Paddle boats were available to use on the lake.
