The location works especially well for families, with the Gurman restaurant serving local dishes and a bakery selling Croatian burek and pastries close by. We also had a lovely sea view toward Split and easy parking. Stefan and his mother were warm and helpful, and the lodging was excellent.

We stayed for three nights with friends and the kids, and would happily return. Losko is on the ground floor of a family home, with the host upstairs. The yard is lovely, facing the sea, with plenty of trees, seating and a barbecue. Split is about a 10-minute drive, and there's a good bakery roughly 200 meters away. Inside, there was everything we needed for a comfortable stay, from towels to hair dryers, and the host had made sure the place was fully equipped. Two good air conditioners were welcome, even at the end of April with children. The roomy living and dining area gave the kids space to play and let us all have breakfast together. It was spotless, with no dust or marks that we could find. We were greeted warmly, given a thorough introduction and welcome drinks and sweets, then received small farewell gifts when we left. We'll recommend Losko to our friends.

It's a peaceful spot among lovely mountains and historic ruins, and the owners were genuinely friendly and ready to help whenever needed. The beach is about 20 minutes from the apartment, but you'll need a car to get there. A great choice for a big family, and I'd gladly recommend it.

Great place to stay, with lovely hosts and a convenient location. If you prefer to avoid the city center and its crowds, I'd recommend it without hesitation.
