The room was clean and had what we needed, and there’s a shop at the top of the road. Getting to the bus stop takes a bit of a walk, but it’s manageable. The shower drain had a terrible smell, though. Things got much worse when other guests swore at us and threw an ashtray. The owner only told us to leave, keep quiet, and go to sleep; nothing was said or done to those guests. On our last day he was abrupt and rude about checkout. When we brought him the key, he asked us to leave it on the side because they were eating breakfast. We were ready to pay Croatia’s tourist tax, but no one gave us the chance, so we couldn’t tell whether it was included in the price.

I’ve stayed here a couple of times, and the ocean view makes it a lovely place to relax. I’ve traveled in Mexico, Colombia, Italia, the USA, and elsewhere, and I feel the owners and workers really try to make guests happy. The prices are great for the rooms, service, and accommodations.

The hosts were fantastic, really friendly, and the apartment was very clean. It’s basic and a little remote, but that didn’t get in the way of a great, relaxing holiday. There’s a good bus route that’s easy to use, and the location gave us a chance to explore and find places to eat. The views are amazing.

The pool was great, though the water was cool, as you’d expect from an outdoor pool. We also liked the pizzeria across the road, with good food at reasonable prices, for example, a large margarita pizza was 9 euros. Dubrovnik is about 20 minutes away by bus, and a single ticket costs £2.90. Our room and balcony had stunning views, and the hosts were friendly. The room was okay for the price, though it wasn’t very modern. The bathroom cabinet was old and worn, and the mirror cabinet hadn’t been wiped inside when we arrived. Nothing major, but the sewage smell in the bathroom was hard to ignore, and we could smell it in the room too. We reported it after the first day. They taped over the floor drain the next day, which helped a little, but the bathroom still smelled awful when the wind picked up each evening. We had a great stay overall.
