The location is great: Apartment Sanda is in Split's old town, quiet, but just a few minutes' walk from the promenade. There are about a dozen restaurants within five minutes, with the closest only 100 metres away. Fife is the best value local eatery, and there's a good bakery nearby for breakfast rolls. It's also a 15-minute walk to the main bus station and ferry port. My wife and I stayed three nights in October 2017 and enjoyed it very much. The owner lives in the same building, and there's a good-sized outdoor sitting area that's lovely for a leisurely breakfast. The apartment is compact and bijou, typical of rentals in this area, but has everything needed for a short holiday. Happy to receive. I'd happily recommend Apartment Sanda and Split.

From its tiny third-floor balcony, the apartment looks out over a small street and the courtyard of a neighboring boutique hotel. It's a nice walk-up in the middle of the old city.

We spent 5 days here in July and really enjoyed living in the old town. The area had a cozy evening buzz, and the hospitality was very kind. We didn't lack for anything. In a few minutes, you can climb a small handrail to reach a viewpoint, or head down to the central promenade and the palace. Parking the car was a bit of a problem, but we figured it out, and it meant we got plenty of walking in.
