Apartment Galeriana Palace by Litto

The host met us on the Riva when we arrived, helped with our bags, and took time to talk us through local restaurants and things to see and do. They replied quickly by text when we had a couple of questions, and even let us leave our luggage for the day after checkout. The apartment is in the historic centre of Split, right in the heart of Diocletian's palace, with the cellars and Peristil next door. Step outside and you’re in the middle of it all, but the apartment sits just off the main "strip", so it’s quiet. Sometimes you can hear distant music from the Riva and the rooftop bar across the way, but it’s not intrusive. There’s air conditioning in the main bedroom and living area, and modern double-glazed windows. Inside, it’s clean, spacious, and modern, with an old-world charm. There’s a large kitchen-living room, a big master bedroom with a seriously comfortable double king-sized bed, a small single room, and another room with two single beds that opens onto the balcony. The balcony is small, so not a place to sunbathe, but it’s lovely for morning coffee or wine at sunset. In the morning, you can often hear live classical singing from the vestibul across the way. The kitchen is modern and fully functional, and there’s a small utility room with a washing machine. The toilet and shower are small but do the job. I’d highly recommend the Heart of Palace apartment to anyone planning a stay in Split.
