Apartment Pera

We spent three weeks here and were very happy with our choice. The apartment was spotless and well located, and the landlady, Pera, was so friendly and nice. Definitely recommend it.

Pera and her husband were lovely, and the place is well worth staying at. It's close to both the beach and town. I'd definitely come back.

The host lives upstairs and was very helpful. We even had coffee at his place and received a small gift when we left. His English was limited, but we managed to understand each other easily. The apartment felt homey, with a kitchen and living area, a sofa bed, and a separate bedroom with a double bed and cupboard space. The kitchen had enough for cooking, including salt and tea, and there were beer and fruit in the fridge when we arrived. The bathroom had a shower, toilet, and washing machine, and there were clotheslines outside for drying laundry. Wi-Fi worked well, with the password on the fridge, and so did the air conditioning. It was switched off when we went out and the windows were open, but even with nearly 40-degree weather, the apartment stayed comfortable. You could hear some traffic, so light sleepers may want earplugs. There were no blackout curtains either, but eye masks worked for us. We also used sunscreen left by a previous guest when ours ran out, and left aftersun cream behind in return. The yellow mailbox made the entrance easy to find, and the apartment isn't on a path you need to walk past. Everything in the old town is walkable, while the apartment itself is away from the noise. Several beaches are nearby. My favorite was Bene Beach, across Marja Hill, though it took a 4-kilometer walk along a beautiful route to get there. For museums, I recommend the Illusion Museum. It was fun.
