It's a simple, tidy room with a good bathroom and air conditioning. Towels are in very short supply, and clothes don't dry well in the room, so bear that in mind if you're staying longer than a night. Otherwise, it's a great place.

The central location comes with quite a bit of street noise, even at night, and the room's small refrigerator was loud enough to make falling asleep difficult. We were also surprised there was no kitchen, since the pictures had given us that impression. There's a fridge, but almost no kitchenware, just two teacups and two teaspoons. The room was clean and nice, though not very large, and there was barely any hot water for long baths because the tank emptied quickly. The AC worked well but was a little noisy. It was an okay stay, but I probably wouldn't choose it again.

The place was directly on a busy street, and poor insulation meant we could clearly hear traffic and the neighbors. The location is very central, but the accommodation felt like poor value for the price. There was almost no natural light, hardly any storage, and the apartment felt uninspired. We were very disappointed. Be careful when booking: the double apartments misleadingly don't have a kitchen.

The room worked for sleeping, and the bed was comfortable, but it was tiny and gloomy. Two bulbs were out, and the fridge made so much noise we couldn't sleep with it running. The bathroom was okay, though we found insects and rinsed them down the shower, and the mildew on the stall was pretty unpleasant. We were mostly happy with the cleanliness otherwise. We felt very welcome. The owners gave us drinks in the room, offered thoughtful service, and shared useful tips about less-known spots in the city. Breakfast was a decent self-serve buffet in another hotel just 30 meters away, where the staff were attentive. The coffee was instant and not very good. Hotel guests and outside customers paying more got table service and better coffee. The apartment is close to the old town, which earned the location two stars, but it's right on a busy road used by buses. With the window open, it's hard to talk, let alone sleep. Shutting the windows and shutters cuts some noise but leaves the room dark and stuffy, although the air conditioning helped. We also heard constant noise from the apartments above and next door overnight. We had a good vacation in Split, though the apartment wasn't a big part of it since we barely spent time there. The furnishings were acceptable, and there was a TV with Croatian channels. Still, nearly €85 a night is too much for this place. Thanks to the owners, but next time we'll look elsewhere.
