Apartments Kamelija

The construction noise started at 7:00am, with drills, hammers, cranes, shouting men and revving lorries. We didn't want to spend our holiday beside a building site, so after a problem came up with friends at another resort, we called Marco at 9:00am to check out and offered to pay for the night. The apartment itself was adequate, but our terrace on the lower ground floor had no view of the sea or pool, despite the sea views advertised for all the apartments. We'd arrived at 7:45pm after an overbooking at our original hotel and booked four nights. Since they didn't accept cards, Marco said cash on departure was fine. When we told him we were leaving, he was immediately unpleasant and insisted we pay for all four nights because we'd said we planned to stay that long. He also claimed they didn't accept one-night bookings, though their website lists a one-night rate. He accused my wife of lying about why we were leaving, threatened to report us to the owner and then to the police. My wife told him to go ahead, and he didn't, since we hadn't done anything wrong. He eventually took payment for one night, at a heavily inflated rate. His conduct felt unprofessional, bullying and confrontational. Intimidating guests into paying for nights they haven't stayed is ludicrous. Marco may seem friendly at first, but that changed when we made a decision he didn't like. Be warned.

We liked it enough to book again many times after our first stay. The apartment has a lovely view and is clean and spacious. The hosts are helpful and around whenever you need them. Nothing to complain about.

Marko, who runs the place, was kind, helpful and always available. The apartment was spotless and comfortable, with everything we needed. A really nice place.

The beach is close by, and there’s a nice pool. The room was really great.
