I liked the small courtyard, where you can sit and unwind, and there are clothes lines for laundry. The apartment was clean and had most of what I needed. When I asked, the host gave me washing detergent. It's close to the historic center, with the market down the road, supermarkets around the corner and a 24-hour bakery nearby. Space is the drawback. It's so small that even one person can barely open a medium-sized suitcase, and two people would find it very tight. The host speaks English, though communication can take a while. If you walk from the bus station or ferry terminal following Google map, you'll encounter steps. Carry on along the road and you can avoid them.

The apartment worked well for a budget stay, with the basics for a self-catered visit, including towels, paper, sheets, TV, internet, cutlery and a washing machine. We were in a small first-floor unit, suitable for 1-2 people with realistic expectations. There's also a tiny inner patio with water access and a clothes hanger, which came in handy. The area was quiet, the people on the street were kind, and ATMs and supermarkets were plentiful nearby. The old town, green market, harbor and bus station were all a 5-10 minute walk, depending on your pace. We only saw the landlady once and didn't need to contact her, since we had what we needed. Check-in was a little awkward because of a misunderstanding about the time. The main issue was the bathroom water boiler. Its capacity was poor for two people, and after it recharged the wait was around 2 hours. There was also some humidity behind the bedside tables.

We had a great view of the bay and port from this clean, well-kept apartment. There's free parking on site, and the bus to the old town takes just 20 minutes. The bus station is a short walk down the stairs. Good amenities and warm hosts, definitely recommended.

The owner was caring, and the apartment was clean, nice and practical, in a good spot near old Split. Sound carries between apartments, though. We could hear the guests above walking, moving chairs and showering. Light sleepers may want to bring earplugs.
