The room was great, with air conditioning and a small kitchen that had enough equipment for us. The owners were warm and welcoming. Get in touch before you arrive, since the address isn't where the room actually is, and they'll guide you there. It's right inside the palace in the old city, which makes the location fantastic. Just keep in mind there are stairs.

The best part of staying here was Miranda and her husband. They were welcoming and generous, shared excellent local advice, and knew all about the area's history, bus lines and port. They even had me over for Thanksgiving and helped me get a package sent from home. As a solo traveler, I found the price very affordable, especially during 2021 when Covid shutdowns were still possible. The place was spotlessly clean and felt warm and inviting. The studio is spacious, modern and clean, with enough character to feel authentic. It's just outside central Split, on a quiet pedestrian street with marble paving and trees. Bakeries, The Green Market, an ATM and good restaurants are nearby. There's also a large garden with citrus trees and a lovely terrace, a peaceful spot on warm, sunny days. The apartment is one large room with a separate bathroom and a handy washer. The kitchen has all the utensils and basics, plus a coffee maker and microwave. Ethernet and WIFI were fast and reliable, and the rental would suit a solo traveler or a couple looking for a romantic getaway. It was worth every penny. I'd give it 10 stars if I could and recommend it to anyone spending time in Split.

We happened to meet Miranda when our two-year-old daughter tried to go into her home through the big green door from the street. Miranda was lovely and told us all about the city, then gave our daughter some toys to play with. If we return to Split, we'll definitely stay at her place.

I spent last night there and loved it. Such a cozy place, with a lovely garden, a welcoming host and a real Mediterranean feel. It's tucked away just five minutes from Dikletian Pallase, and the market was only a minute away. A relaxing stay and a good shower, too!
