Apartments Tudor

The room was comfortable, with a good bed, microwave, coffee machine and utensils. There were a couple of chairs outside, nice for having coffee in the morning, and she even found me some milk. On arrival, the host came out to the street to show me where to park, then took time to explain the town, restaurants, beaches and parks, as well as the facilities and how to lock the door. A really great welcome.

My apartment was lovely and very clean, and the shower was excellent. It’s near Firule beach, a sandy spot that’s great for kids. Just be careful with the address: there are other apartments with the same name in the old town, and Google Maps keeps sending me to the wrong one.

The smell was awful throughout the apartment, even on the towels, and it was very dirty. The booking site photos don’t show its real condition. Worst apartment we’ve ever booked. Never, ever recommend it.

The location is great for the price, and the owner(?) was very friendly. We got what we should have expected for the price and location in terms of studio size, but I still wouldn’t recommend it in its current state. It could be improved pretty easily. Check all the photos before booking, since there are several room types. We ended up in a tiny studio and had expected a full apartment from the pictures. That wasn’t false advertising, but it was disappointing. There were two rooms with a sofa bed, and the space felt small. The bed, sofa bed and chairs were all so hard that nowhere was comfortable. Everyone woke up sore after sleeping on mattresses that honestly felt like hardwood floors. The boiler gave us two nice hot showers, then the third person got a cold one. The Wi-Fi was slow and difficult to connect to, perhaps because the signal was weak. Some spots hadn’t been cleaned well, as shown in the photo. Payment is cash, in euros or kuna. Not a complaint, just something to know.
