The apartment was clean, but the stay was a nightmare and we wouldn't return. We were charged another £50 on arrival, which we hadn't known about because we thought it was included in the agreed price. Whenever we sat on the patio for coffee and a chat, a Croatian woman upstairs called down telling us to be quiet. We came with my son, his wife, and their four children after being told the place was child-friendly. It really wasn't. The woman upstairs said they slept or had visitors between 1 and 4 pm, so nearly every day we had to walk around the streets with the children, who were 8, 3, 2, and 1 at the time, in 90-degree heat. It was a good walk to the amenities, too. We've travelled to many countries, but this experience has put us off Croatia, and we wouldn't go back.

The host was so welcoming. The apartment was clean, cozy, and comfortable, and the sea was very close. The historic city center wasn't far away either. A great apartment!
