Authentic Luxury Rooms

The room was great and had good air conditioning. I’d absolutely come back and recommend the place. I arrived very early after my flight, before check-in, but they checked and let me into my ready room early. The location worked perfectly for my sailing trip: a taxi could reach it by road, which isn’t true of many places, and my boat was only a four-minute walk away. After checking out, I could leave my bags for an hour and wait in reception until it was time to go. The man on duty was so kind and helpful. I’m sorry I can’t remember his name, but I think it started with M. He talked me through things to do in Split and marked places and walking routes on a map. The woman I met at checkout was lovely too, though I didn’t get her name.

We spent six nights here and had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were clean, with their own entrance on the side of the building. Breakfast was nice and had everything you could ask for, without dozens of other people eating at once. The hotel is only a few minutes from both the centre and the beach, and the staff were super friendly and helpful.

The room was comfortable and well equipped, with modern interiors that still respect the building’s original structure. It’s quiet in the evenings, about a five-minute walk from the crowded main strip and ten minutes from the beaches. There’s no parking, and they only take cash. For what you get, it felt a little overpriced. This isn’t luxury, though it’s perfectly comfortable. I knew the Authentic staff would be great from the moment I was picked up at the airport with a big smile after a very delayed flight. They were friendly and helpful without constantly being in my space.

The room was a decent size and had a small pantry. Two of its walls were original stone from the house, which is several centuries old, while the rest felt modern and recently renovated. Breakfast was good, and it had that small bed-and-breakfast feel. The hotel sits between the old city centre and the beach, with either less than a five-minute walk away. The staff, who I think may be the owners, were pleasant and helpful. When we booked a tour before breakfast, they arranged for sandwiches to be delivered to our room the day before, without us even asking. We had an excellent stay.
