Banica Apartments & Rooms

The bar below the apartment was very loud, and I could still hear it after closing. After a month of travelling, this was the most expensive place I stayed in, but the worst overall. There’s much better value elsewhere in Split. I also went without hot water for the last two days of my trip. Nobody mentioned when I arrived that the boiler switch was outside the bathroom. I was told to turn it on and wait 20 minutes, but the water still didn’t heat up. Eventually someone came and told me the boiler was broken, so I had to shower in another unit. From the time I reported the problem until I could shower, more than an hour passed, and my evening plans were ruined. It would be especially frustrating to deal with this before a day trip. All I got for the inconvenience was “we’re sorry.” Do not stay here.

The terraces were one of our favourite parts of staying at Banica Apartments and Rooms, with incredible views over Split and the Adriatic. We found the rooms spotless and tastefully decorated, right in the middle of Diocletian's Palace and all the activity. Mirko, Ivna, and Luka made my husband and me feel at home and welcome, and the customer service was excellent. It was hard to leave, and we hope to come back. Thanks to everyone at Banica, we miss you.

We had a lovely stay here as a group of 14. The apartments were comfortable and right in the centre of Split, and the roof terrace was a relaxing place to hang out in the morning or after a day around town. Big thanks to Petar, such a nice guy!

Petar and Luca at reception were the highlight for me. They were so friendly and accommodating, and went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The location and rooms were fantastic too. I had an incredible stay, highly recommend!! :)
