The people there were lovely, and the room was good value, with a lovely fit-out. It’s just at the edge of the old town, so it’s really well placed. One thing to know: if you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. There can be quite a bit of noise late at night in the lane below the window, especially in room 1. That wouldn’t put me off staying again if I came to Split.

We spent 10 days here and would happily recommend it. The shared kitchen was useful for a longer stay, and the rooms had good air con, a fridge, and modern bathrooms. They’re updated while still keeping the historic building’s old walls and little period touches. The hosts were friendly and helpful, with loads of good local tips. You’re right in the old town center, but the rooms stay quiet thanks to the sound and light blocking blinds.

Natasa was there to meet us when we arrived around 6PM, and made us feel welcome straight away. She also shared some useful tips on local sights and places to eat. We stayed at the Captain's Apartment in Split in January 2015. The room was warm, clean, quiet, and decorated with a lot of taste. It’s an easy walk to the waterfront and shopping areas, with plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. We’d definitely stay again.

The apartment is cozy, with hardwood floors throughout the bedroom, a small kitchenette of its own, and a nice bathroom. Natasa was really helpful too. It’s right in the middle of Old Split, with lots to do around it, and good value for the money.

We had confirmed late check-in for 10 pm, but when we arrived there was no key and no room available for the one we’d been told was ours. Nobody answered the phone while we were there. It was a complete nightmare. Take this off your list.
