Comfort Apartment

A one-star rating feels far too generous. My partner and I had travelled all the way from New Zealand 🇳🇿, and this was our first time in Split. We booked through a travel agent back home, and that turned out to be a huge mistake. There was no sign when we arrived, so we were completely lost. A local bar owner stopped us and asked if we were trying to find room keys. She said a man had left them at her business next to the apartment, but she didn't know which room was ours. We went to “Number 83,” a five-storey apartment block with three apartments on each floor, and had to try our keys at every door on every level. That was hard enough without luggage. We eventually found the room, but the trouble didn't end there. It smelled awful, the bedroom window was broken and hanging off its hinges, and there was no bedding. The toilet stank and still had poo in it and around the seat. There was hair all over the shower, and the whole apartment was filthy. We lasted 40 minutes and couldn't get out of there fast enough. It still haunts me. Don't let this place ruin your time in Croatia. Take my advice and book a hotel, maybe Amphora. Thank me later, family ✌🏼
