Hotel Cvita

We’ve stayed at hotel Cvita again and again. This time they had a free room and upgraded us without charging extra. The service is excellent, though I can’t decide whether the rooms or the service are better. Nima Splita ako nije Cvita

Our room was a good size and clean enough, with a great, very comfortable bed. The massage was relaxing, and the woman at the massage centre was lovely. The indoor pool was cozy, though the water felt cold to me. I usually take cold showers, so that surprised me, especially since it wasn’t 27 degrees as I expected. Breakfast was okay, but could be better. The hotel and service were polite, friendly, and professional. We had a great stay and will surely come back.

The room was spacious, and the front desk staff were very helpful with directions to places of interest. Getting to the hotel meant navigating tight turns through narrow alleys on a steep slope, and you have to walk back down that slope to reach anything you want to see. The breakfast buffet was adequate. Since the kitchen was short-staffed, dinner was only available to a travel group staying there.

Bruno was the first person I met at Reception, and he was so kind and gracious. If I owned a hotel, I’d hire him. The staff here are extraordinary, and the pool is clean and refreshing. The beds are fabulous, and the place has a sweet Croatian feel. I’d been traveling around Croatia, eating, drinking, and writing about hotels, places, and food. This felt like a peaceful haven. I wasn’t after five stars, just somewhere calm and quiet with a bit of walking to the busy central part of beautiful Split. It’s about 15 minutes from the old Fort and the glorious waterfront Esplanade, where you can swim. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
