The beach is just a short walk away, with plenty of restaurants and markets nearby if you want to shop and cook for yourself. The owner seems to have a great eye for old-time aesthetics, and the photos are spot on. I only wish my spontaneous trip had been longer than three days. I know where I’ll stay next time I’m in Split.

The apartment had a nice little patio and was in a quiet neighbourhood, but still close to the Green Market, Diocletian's Palace, the main bus station, and the ferries. Michelle made us feel welcome, shared all the tips we needed, and was amazing at tracking down our lost baggage.

The patio was nice, and the kitchen had everything you need. There’s a washing machine but no dryer, so keep that in mind. The sun doesn’t shine directly onto the patio, and your clothes might end up musty. The suite feels fit for an emperor, if emperors in the Middle Ages averaged 4’2. Kidding aside, it was great and well worth five stars.

The host met us at the ferry terminal, then gave us a quick tour of the city on the way in. The place was easy to find inside the walls, and we felt very welcome. We also got great dining recommendations.

Michelle met us at the ferry terminal and was so kind. We stayed in one of the old town apartments and were really comfortable there. We felt welcome from the start.
