Golden B&B

We had a fantastic stay with the kids. It’s in the historic center, close to Diocletian's palace and the boulevard, on a quiet street right in the heart of the city. The rooms were clean and roomy, and breakfast, wifi, and everything a traveller needs were provided. Public parking is about a five-minute walk away, since cars can’t fit down narrow, medieval Palmina street.

We stayed in the deluxe room, which was spacious, modern, very clean, air-conditioned, and had a small balcony overlooking the harbour. The host was lovely and really helpful, and breakfast was good. There’s also a shared terrace with harbour views, where we ate each morning without seeing any other guests. The location was ideal for Split old town, Riva harbour, and climbing Marjan hill. Just a small gripe: the sheets were too small for the bed and kept coming off. The bus from the airport leaves you about a 10-minute walk along the seafront. We took a taxi in the heavy rain, but pedestrian areas and one-way traffic meant a seven-minute walk from where it dropped us. If we’d known, we would’ve walked the whole way.

Mateja made a real difference when a booking issue came up. She sorted it out and even arranged an earlier breakfast so we could eat before heading to the airport. We loved the deluxe room’s sea view, and it was modern, spotless, and welcoming. The location suited us perfectly, close to the centre but quiet. Fully recommend it!

The staff were so friendly and accommodating, and the place was very clean and good value. It felt like a worthwhile step up from an Airbnb. We had a balcony or terrace with a partial sea view, too. And yes, Split is beautiful ;)
