Holiday Home Marjan

The terrace was a dream, with a sea view, and the apartment felt cozy, spacious, and very clean. The owner is a wonderful woman, so kind, caring, and attentive. We had everything we needed, even salt, oil, and pasta, and those thoughtful little extras meant a lot. Nobody disturbed us, and we could relax peacefully, like at home. Thank you to the hostess for making us feel so welcome and comfortable ❤️ The location does take some planning. The apartment is up a mountain, and the nearest shop is a 15-minute walk uphill, which isn’t pleasant in scorching sun. The beach is farther still. The one 20 minutes away is rocky and has no amenities, and I wouldn’t recommend Plaza Jezinac. We took a taxi to Kasjuni Beach, about $5-6 each way, and liked that beach best. When we visited on July 19, 2025, the nature reserve and Plaza Bene were closed for renovations. From how slowly work was going, Forest Park Marjan didn’t look likely to reopen anytime soon, which was really sad. I’ve added a photo to show what I mean. We also took a taxi to sandy Bacvice Beach, €8-10 roundtrip. Two sun loungers and an umbrella cost €50, and a ride to the old town was €6-8. Even with the distance to shops and beaches, we had a wonderful vacation and left with a very warm impression, thanks especially to the comfort, quiet, and care we felt from the moment we arrived.
