Indigo Inn Rooms

Once we finally got into the room, it was quiet, clean, and spacious. Getting checked in was a struggle, though. The hotel tried to send instructions, but they never reached me because Priceline masks guests’ phone numbers and email addresses. The main problem seemed to be the communication between the apartment and Priceline, so I wouldn’t book this through Priceline.

As a solo traveller, I really appreciated how warmly the host looked after me. He was still helping even after I’d checked out, and the staff were quick to arrange anything I needed. The room and bathroom were very clean, including the floor. There are shops, a market, a supermarket, a pharmacy, and snack places right downstairs. The bus and train stations are just a few steps away, and RIVA is close by too. I felt comfortable throughout my stay and was extremely satisfied.

A lovely big, quiet room with a soft, warm design, and I felt welcome as soon as I arrived. The location’s very convenient, close to the centre, station, and transport. The tram stop, Sheraton Station, is just downstairs. I loved it 😍

We chose room no 2, which faces a busy junction across the road, so there was some city noise as the host had warned us. If you’re a light sleeper, earplugs might help, and perhaps the owners could provide disposable pairs. The room at the back looked onto a rather unappealing courtyard but was apparently quieter. All the rooms are in one large apartment on the first floor. We didn’t try the lift, so can’t say how useful it is. Our room was pleasant, with a large, firm, sturdy bed, a fridge, TV, kettle, Earl Grey tea bags, and 2-in-1 coffee sachets. As a British tea drinker, I was glad I’d brought extra tea bags. In the bathroom there were large dispensers of liquid soap, shampoo, and body wash, plus two bath towels, two hand towels, and a small floor towel. The towels were changed daily, though not always in the same quantities. For other supplies, there’s a small, well-stocked supermarket downstairs and a market across the road, but I didn’t see ordinary tea bags in the supermarket. We’d researched the place before our first visit to Split and felt it would suit us. We’d given an estimated arrival time, and the host greeted us warmly when we arrived.
