We could walk everywhere from this modern, fully furnished room in the city centre. Having a corkscrew there was especially handy for opening local wine, something that matters when you only travel with hand luggage. Self check-in is also an option.

The room was clean, the air conditioning was on the whole time, and the bathroom was fairly spacious. It was a pretty standard room for what it offered. Getting there was a struggle. The host didn’t give us enough directions or help, so we spent an hour wandering around with our bags, and the place was hard to find. The entrance felt sketchy and smelled bad. It’s a room in an apartment building with various shared entrances. Inside, it was noisy, and opening the windows for fresh air and natural light was difficult.

The apartment has been renovated and looked after well, and it’s right in the centre of the old city. I couldn’t ask for a better base for visiting Split. I’d definitely come back.
