I felt unsafe in the winding, confusing streets nearby, and the rooms were very old and dated. At the entrance there was only a sign telling guests to call a number to check in, but the call wouldn't connect. The other option was to go upstairs, where I found the owners' private residence and had to retrieve my key from their living room. As a young woman traveling alone, I decided not to stay, even though I still had to pay the full accommodation price for cancelling at the last minute. When I raised my concerns, the woman was extremely hostile and annoyed that I hadn't brought cash. She said I hadn't read the terms, but I explained that my reservation details never said cash was required. I went to get cash and pay, then a man confronted me to ask what my problem with the accommodation was. The woman wouldn't give me a receipt, didn't thank me or say goodbye, and I had to let myself out. Absolutely appalling.

The rates were excellent, and the accommodation was clean and really nice. It's in a great location, too. A lovely family runs the place and can arrange airport transfers, which was helpful. We loved staying here and would return.

I booked this apartment about a month ahead for our honeymoon in Split this July. Three weeks later, the owner emailed asking me to cancel because there had been “changes in their offer and prices for the period” I had booked. They said I could book again if I was happy with the new offer. I told them we still needed somewhere to stay, since the affordable places were now booked up for a busy Ultra Music Festival weekend. I also said it was unprofessional to ask us to cancel and rebook at a higher price, and that they should honour the original booking. The owner said we couldn't stay at the price I'd reserved, so I cancelled. By then I wasn't comfortable staying there and didn't want to risk arriving with nowhere to go. They seemed to realize only three weeks later that the festival made it a busy weekend. They hadn't updated the website in time, then tried to charge more instead of keeping the reasonable price I'd booked. Find somewhere reliable.

It's a pleasant neighbourhood, with restaurants, a supermarket and the beach all within a ten-minute walk. The hosts were nice, and the place was clean and quiet. We'd recommend it!

The apartments were spacious and clean, and the host was friendly. Transfers to the sights and airport were reasonably priced, and the host was accommodating.
