Piano Nobile Rooms

The room was comfortable, the breakfast included with the stay was excellent, and the location was right in the city center. The only downside was having no luggage storage, so we had to pay elsewhere for the service, 6€ per bag.

I booked the wrong month by accident on booking dot com because the calendar resets each time you book somewhere new. I showed Piano Nobile my itinerary to explain it was a genuine mistake. They said I could cancel and they'd refund only the nights they managed to rebook. That seemed fair to me. For a 4 day trip in the height of tourist season in Split, I thought they might fill 2/3 days. I also tried to change the booking to the dates I was actually travelling, but Piano Nobile rejected that, and the website wouldn't let me cancel. After that, they ignored my messages, even though they'd twice offered to help. Their silence showed me what their approach to customer service is really like. The neighborhood is lively, with lots of restaurants, bars, cafés, and bakeries close by. It's only a 5-minute walk to the Split promenade and 10/15 minutes to the bus station, right inside Split's old city. We stayed for 2 nights in room #3, which was nicely decorated and felt new and fresh. The place opened in summer 2016, and the staff were friendly. We booked on a third party website for 145€ / 1090 kn / 210$CAD. Cash only, since the credit card machine didn't work. Breakfast was included and served at a nearby local restaurant, and the wifi was free. Highly recommended! 5/5, visited in October 2016.

I was there for just one night. Great location, and the staff were very helpful.
