Princ Heritage Rooms

The room was fine and it’s convenient for walking around, but I can’t recommend this place. The service was terrible and honestly came close to rude. We asked well ahead for parking recommendations and got nothing, and they wouldn’t answer our other questions or concerns either. The shower kept going from cold to hot and back to cold because the water heater didn’t work. The smart TV was broken, too. It’s next to a popular late-night spot for music and drinks, so it can be very loud until 2 am or later.

Rooms were clean, with fresh sheets during the week, and the aircon was quiet. The location is great, right in the heart of the old city and close to the Palace. Did we mention the location? 👍 Split has got much more expensive since my last visit, but its streets, palace, and setting are still a special experience. Sanka cleaned our room and was welcoming, friendly, and extremely helpful. She’s a credit to the owners, and we’d gladly employ her in our own home. Recommend staying here.

Nightmare!! I booked three nights, but while unpacking I spotted hairs on the bed. I contacted the property and said I’m very particular about cleanliness and couldn’t stay there. They insisted the room had been properly cleaned and pointed to their ratings as proof. That was why I’d booked, since everyone said it was clean. They offered to clean it again the following day, but what was I supposed to do until then, and what difference would that make? I had nowhere else to go, so I stayed that night and checked out at 6.30 the next morning. Then I kept finding more hairs in the bathroom and around the room, along with dust. I asked for a refund and believe I made the right call, because I woke with a sore throat and was sick the day after. Even after I sent photos showing the condition, the owner insisted the room was properly cleaned. People saying it was clean hadn’t inspected it, as far as I could tell, and nobody mentioned the problems. I paid £660 for three nights and got £132 back, with no refund for the two nights I didn’t stay. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

I arrived in the afternoon and there was nobody working there, just some kind of self check-in. The email instructions didn’t let me check in, and I spent an hour and a half trying to reach the hotel staff. The phone number didn’t work and messages got no answer. Then I spent another hour dealing with agoda customer service, who couldn’t reach anyone either. I sat on the steps for half an hour while the agent tried. After two hours of trying to find someone, agoda’s answer was to wait another hour on the steps. While I was upset and complaining, they hung up on me. I finally went to find a room somewhere else. This was a terrible experience because there was no service, no employee, and bad contact information, and agoda made it worse.
